Probably the most spectacular event of the 20th century took place on July 20, 1969 – a human first entered the moon. After a dramatic four-day journey, the three-man crew of the Apollo 11 mission ushered in this historic moment. Equipped with a portable life support system in the backpack and a special space suit, Neil Armstrong climbed down the lander’s ladder steps and was the first person to enter the moon.
