HMS Victory was a 104-gun liner of the Royal Navy, laid down in 1759 and commissioned in 1765. She is best known as Lord Nelson’s flagship at the Battle of Trafalgar in 1805, before being transferred in 1922 to dry dock in Portsmouth, where she is preserved as a museum ship. Since October 2012, she has been the flagship of the First Sealord and therefore the oldest military ship still in service in the world.
